Blog Tour: Interview & Giveaway with Christi Daugherty!

Introducing 2012 author #8 (who I'm honoured to welcome here as part of her blog tour), mum to the worlds most badass kitty, welcome Christi Daugherty!
Why should Santa fill every stocking this year with a copy of Night School?
Because that is the ONLY THING I’ve asked him for this Christmas. Besides, that red hat wearing, snowy beard sporting old dude owes me. He never gave me the diamonds I asked for last year. Or any year before that, now that I think about it. If he wants me to believe in him…

Well. I think he knows what he has to do.

What is the best or worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
Best: I married my husband December 1st, 2007 – which was the most magical Christmas gift EVER.
Worst: When I was little, my mothe… I mean, Santa, used to stuff my stocking with walnuts and oranges to make it look full, and then put one small present in there. That was profoundly rubbish.

What's been your favourite YA novel of 2011?
I read all the books in the Hunger Games series in 2011 – I hardly slept for weeks. They were all my favourite YA books of the year.

And your most desperately needed of 2012?
I loved Amy Plum’s ‘Die for Me’. The sequel, ‘Until I Die’ comes out in 2012. I am POISED to read that like you would not believe. Also, my friend Ruth Warburton’s book The Witch in Winter comes out the same day as Night School. Technically speaking I’ve already read it because she let me. But I want everybody else to read it too, because it is AWESOME.

Do you have any plans to survive and/or fight in the 2012 Apocalypse? (this covers any apocalyptic belief-system... zombies, aliens, mother nature seeking revenge, assassin automatons, Klaus and his hybrids from The Vampire Diaries, etc).
Let’s face it. Zombies are slow. I am nearly as slow as a zombie but, if pursued, I believe that even I would summon newfound speeds. Also, I have a really vicious cat, and I think she could take any zombie or alien who tried it on. However, if the attack comes from Klaus and the hybrids? I’m toast. Stick a fork in me.

Thanks, Christi!! Be sure to enter the giveaway below and then tomorrow you can check out the next stop on the tour at Serendipity Reviews. And stay tuned for my review of the amazing Night School!

Sometimes school is murder.

Allie Sheridan's world is falling apart. She hates her school. Her brother has run away from home. And she's just been arrested.

Again.

This time her parents have finally had enough. They cut her off from her friends and send her away to a boarding school for problem teenagers.

But Cimmeria Academy is no ordinary school. Its rules are strangely archaic. It allows no computers or phones. Its students are an odd mixture of the gifted, the tough and the privileged. And then there's the secretive Night School, whose activities other students are forbidden even to watch.

When Allie is attacked one night the incident sets off a chain of events leading to the violent death of a girl at the summer ball. As the school begins to seem like a very dangerous place, Allie must learn who she can trust. And what's really going on at Cimmeria Academy.
