Chapter Excerpt from SPARK by Brigid Kemmerer!

You know that series by that crazy talented author I've been gushing about? Yeah, don't play games with me. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. With the sexy guys, awesome heroine, delicious mystery and pow-pow action? (STORM by Brigid Kemmerer, for those living under a storm cloud).

Well.

Guess what?

Brigid's awesome publisher, KTeen, have posted a freaking AMAZING chapter preview of the sequel, SPARK. You know, the one with the brother who just oozes sex appeal - GABRIEL MERRICK? Wait, don't faint on me yet! You have to go read the chapter and see for yourself just why August is going to be the hottest book month of the year.

Gabriel Merrick. You kill me.

I DIE WITH THE WANT. Accio Spark!!

Edited to add: I FORGOT TO MENTION. Did you guys see that Chris and Gabriel joined twitter? It seems Brigid finally managed to coerce them.. or bribe.... or force... oh who cares, they're ONLINE. A extra avenue for stalking!

  1. BRODIE! You seriously need to stop with all the Elemental related posts - at least until after I've read Storm! I now have Storm (YAY!), but need to finish my current book before I can pick it up, and it's HARD! I am all I WANT I WANT I WANT with each and every post about this series I read. It's not fair!

I'm kidding. You keep posting, keep making me try and read faster, and keep making me DIE over these guys I've yet to read. I am so, so tempted to go and read that chapter because of Gabriel! But I don't want to in case of spoilers for Storm. But oooh, Gabriel!!! Thank you for the heads up, Brodie! I shall be posting about this myself!

Now please excuse while I go and zoom through The Night Circus so I can pick up Storm. :)

    1. Hee! Never! Those damn brothers have me twisted around their finger, I CANNOT STOP. It causes physical pain. To my heart *clutches*

Oh my gosh. Jo. I am bouncing in excitement for you to read Storm! I *think* you can safely read the Spark chapter without having read Storm first... obviously this requires me to go reread just to make sure buahahaha.

GABRIEL. That boy. He does things to this little Aussie's heart. And mind. And sanity :P

Oooh The Night Circus! I'll be reading that next for the blog tour!

    2. Eeee! I'm am excited to read and then to rave in my review and at you! It's going to be good! :D

So far, The Night Circus is AWESOME! In a way that has nothing at all to do with the plot, though that is pretty good too! I'm having to write notes! I hardly ever wrtie notes! But thoughts keep coming to me as I read that would be good for the review. I swear I have half of it written in my head already, and I'm not even half way through the book!

But back on topic. Loooove for those Merrick brothers! I will get to Storm soon!

    1. RIGHT?! I didn't want it to end! I'm loving the dynamic between Gabriel and Layne already.

Gabriel is my favourite too! It's hard TO have a favourite because they're all so effing awesome, but Gabriel.... oh hell. He's the kind of guy who ruins me in fiction ;)

  3. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!! Oh my gosh, as if I didn't need another reason to want to join Twitter -- I would totally follow Chris and Gabriel!! (And you and Brigid and, you know, the whole blogosphere... but you four first!) x) And I love love LOVED the way Gabriel and Layne reacted and how different they are and how she's the smart type and not like his usual kind of girl and oh gosh her little brother is so cute -- !!!

*inhales deeply* I tend to talk without breathing when I'm excited and BOY AM I EVER!! I can't wait to finally get my hands on Spark!! :') Thanks for sharing, Brodie! <3

  5. You know, with both of us duelling over the accioing Spark, it'll probably wind up somewhere in the middle... meet you in Canberra? We could show up at Celine's doorstep? Hehehehehe!

    G A B R I E L!! *sobs* want Spark so bad :'(

    1. Hehe! Celine's is a good place to end up. She's neutral territory, she won't take sides, but you know... that sweet act could just be that. An ACT. She'll lure us in with false promises of SHARING and working as a TEAM, then steal the book, call the cops and get us locked up for stalking a minor. Rainbows and sparkles, my left toe *mutters*

    2. *twitchy* I'm so worried about Celine, now... hmm... maybe we could lure her out into the open with a trail of hundreds of thousands and observe her for a while.. then... uh... she's so gonna lock us in her basement, huh? Her specially made basement that she dug herself, which houses her secret Dexter's Laboratory style laboratory, and she'll slide us McDonald's through the door occasionally, like the Guide in Storm only we won't have Chris to save us and Michael to get all pissy and crack open the earth and then there'll be guns, and who'll save us then? NO ONE. AND CELINE WILL BE MERRILY TWEETING AWAY ACTING ALL RAINBOWS AND INNOCENT AND WE'LL BE DYING, SURVING ON A DIET OF ONLY FRENCH FRIES AND PICKLES O______O

    3. WHY WOULD I LOCK YOU UP IN THE BASEMENT? I will never ever lock you guys! YOU GUYS ARE TOO AMAZING TO BE LOCKED UP in a BASEMENT. I'll even bake vegan brownies for you all! ;) WE WILL PARTY WITH SWEETS AND RAINBOWS ALL THE TIME! But... if you guys prefer McDonalds then I'm sure I can get them somehow :P And I'll be merrily tweeting because you guys are with me! XD

And since you guys are AWESOME, if I miraculously get a copy of Spark and because I'm supposedly 'neutral', then you guys can play papers scissors rocks and whoever wins get a copy of the book? The one who loses gets lots of brownies and hugs? XP

PS: AAAAA, I MISS THE BLOGGING WORLD SO MUCH. Been so busy with school :'( BUT I feel so honoured that you guys are talking about me <3 ;P

    4. We're ALWAYS talking about you, Celine! Or thinking about you! Or sitting outside your bedroom window, lovingly watching you study ^__^

      *sniffs vegan brownies suspiciously*
Are you sure this isn't just bait to get me into the basement? O__o
