Owl Post #9

Inspired by The Story Siren's In My Mailbox, Owl Post allows me to excitedly share all the yummy books I get in the mail each week! Owl's are much faster and more reliable than sneaky postmen, and the common way for magical folk to send and receive letters and parcels. Yes. I went to Hogwarts. Be jealous.

SQUEEEE!! I am ridiculously excited to start this. Loved the Nightshade series and this looks like it has the potential to be equal (heck, if not more?) amazing.

This was an unsolicited review copy. I haven't read the first book in the series, nor have I actually heard of the series. But! I looked it up on Goodreads and Brodie like the sound of it. Will definitely check it out at some point.

This is an Aussie tv show that I've sort of half paid attention to in the past, but really got into during season 3 So I'm catching up on the first two season from my library. Only a couple of episodes in so far, but can I say: LOVE? So fun and addictive.

What have the owls delivered to you this week?

DON'T LEAVE JUST YET!

I wrote a "Team" post for the weird, the wonderful, and 2012's answer to the likes of James & Sirius, Fred & George.... Sarah & Lauren! The post? Defending James Potter in Team James vs. Team Snape! So you know that means I'm DEMANDING YOU GO VOTE FOR JAMES, right? SO GO VOTE FOR JAMES, ALREADY.  And check out the amazing posts both girls have shared over the month for their Potterthon!

Oh those look nice!! I've never heard of that TV show (not one for much tv, haha!) but have fun with it! <3 Rift looks like an awfully intriguing read though...

  3. YES, YES, YES, YES, YES! I am so Team James! I feel like I'm constantly defending him against Snape and while I LOVE Snape to pieces, James and Lily belong together. I think I waste most of my time just reading fanfiction with the two of them...gosh they're so perfect!<3 James, James, James, James, Jamessss! Awesomeeee post about Team James! :D I voted, don't worry! ;)

I actually haven't heard of any of the books you got this week, but they look REALLY good, so I'll be interested to see what you think of them Brodie! Happy Reading! :D

  4. Ohhh I'm yet to read the Nightshade series or anything by Rachel Caine *smacks wrist* but they sound AWESOME!!

Oooh, Offspring... I've never seen it :O But I'm going to have to check it out, and if it's an Aussie TV show then I definitely will have to :)

OHMYGOD! I'm sorry! I can't choose between Snape and James! I adore them both but I am going to vote for James because most people are *cough* assholes *cough* when they're in their teens and his love for Lily because he died first trying to protect her and Harry and I'm tearing up, I'll leave now...

  6. I so hope you enjoy Rift! Need to catch up on The Witches War series first, but it sounds awesome! I have the first book in the Revivalist series, Working Stiff, but I've yet to read it. I LOVE Rachel Caine though, so I'm sure it'll be amazing! Happy reading and enjoy watching Offspring!

Now off to Sarah's blog for the team post :)

  7. haha I will be checking out your Team James post right after I comment here.

YAY for Rift. I am hesitantly excited about it, because me and Bloodrose did not have a good experience. I was very angry at the end of that book. I am hoping Rift is better.

Enjoy your show! I should check out some Aussie TV online if I can find it!

  10. I cannot wait to read Rift!! And now I can't wait to hear what you think about it either. Wiie! And lol, while I haven't heard of the TV series before, I always love when I find some rare gem when I least expected it. Like with BBC's Sherlock Holmes, The Mentalist, True Blood... *addicted*

  11. Ooh Rift! I can't wait to see you what you think of that. I've heard good things already from some fellow UK bloggers. Plus Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires series is an absolute favourite of mine so I hope Two Weeks' Notice turns out to be a good read. :) Enjoy!

  13. I don't understand how Snape is even in the lead - I voted James!

And OFFSPRING! Love that show! I need to watch the final eps of S3, I almost don't want to know what happens. You're going to love S1/S2!

Oh and the makers of Offspring are the people behind the new Puberty Blues tv show - I have a feeling it'll be good!

  16. Haven't read the Nightshade series yet but I do have the first one on my shelf. I brought it when I first started blogging but because I was only just getting into the paranormal genre I put it down after a few pages. Rift looks AMAZING though! Haven't read anything by Rachel Caine either. Yay for TV series :) I'm currently rewatching Gilmore Girls (with my sister) and Bewithed (with my mum). You really should try watching Gilmore Girls! It's AWESOME. Rory (the daughter) LOVES books, their always hyped on coffee and their are some cute boys ;) JESS. Stars Hollow <3

  19. I am so excited for Rift! I've read the Nightshade series, and while I didn't love it like some people did, I am already sure I'll fall in love with Rift!! I've actually met the author, Andrea Cremer, [twice, actually!] who is super sweet and just plain awesome author. =)
