Semi Absence + Do You Want to Write a Guest Post?

Contain your sorrow: I won't be around much in October. I'll be a bit busy, so I can't really focus on blogging. There are a couple of posts I have scheduled (including a super hot giveaway for US/CA), but apart from those, it's unlikely you'll see more than 2 or 3 reviews from me. A slow-blogging period that's actually extended back to this past week, given that I have the flu and feel miserable, which translates into me doing absolutely nothing. Something I excel at, sick or not :D

Anyway! I figured, why not take this opportunity to have a few guest posts from readers, bloggers or authors to be featured here throughout October (and maybe the first week or two of November).

What kind of post? Anything you want! It can be funny, weird, crazy, serious, heavy, light, whatever you like. You can write a review (or a joint review or discussion-style review), you can talk about genres or retellings or covers or the benefits/drawbacks of dating [insert paranormal creature here], you can talk about characters or an author or write a poem for your favourite book. You can show off some bookish fanart or rave about that upcoming/older release that you want EVERYONE to read, or even if you want to do a reaction post to the new seasons of Nikita or Arrow starting next month because I am DYING to watch those..... get my point? Anything goes. Provided it somehow relates to YA (unless it's an awesome CW show), since that's primarily what I blog about.

If no one is interested, that is totally FINE! It's not an event or anything, it's just me attempting to steal a few brains during a period where I won't be using my own. I probably only need a maximum of 5-6? I should be sort of back regularly in the first or second week of November. Depending on how many of you are interested, I may extend the guest posting beyond that. If you're not selected, please don't take any offence!

Sooooo if you want to do SOMETHING, you can fill out this form or email me.

On a totally unrelated note: Huge congrats to Erin and Asher for winning my Prophecy Swag Giveaway!! Both beautiful ladies have responded and I'll get their prizes sent out soon :)

  1. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well lately Brodie . . . I SO get how you feel as I was really sick a few months ago. Kind of puts blogging to a halt. But I hope you feel better soon! I would've TOTALLY put a post up for you but I'm so busy with upcoming exams and assignments at uni so unfortunately I can't but I'm sure many others will have their hands up. :)

By the way thank you for making me a winner in your giveaway. You're on my good side. hehe.

  2. Aww, sorry you're sick! Hope you feel better better soon. Make sure you rest and you can watch lots of awesome films while you recover :). I can't write a guest post either unfortunately (same reasons as Erin really, still adjusting to uni life) but don't worry about taking a break! Just feel better and I look forward to your return to the blogosphere! :P

  3. get well soon brodie . we'll miss you

  4. *huggles* Brodie, I &hearts you.

    Get well. OK?
    Mmmmm... *pokes own brain*
I'll *try* and think of something.

Let me know if your schedule's empty and you need a post.

BUT. I don't think that will be a problem. You're YOU. AKAK: beloved evil overlord genius ♥

  5. Enjoy your break, Brodes, and I hope you feel better soon :)

  6. Hope you're feeling better soon!

  7. Is it quite wrong of me to want to take a blogging vacation every time I hear someone else is? The thought of being able to de-stress a little is comforting. (Ha! I complain about blogging way too much. People will start to think I don't enjoy it... ;))

Aww I hope you feel better soon, my dear! Enjoy your break. :)

  8. I hope you feel better soon! Looking forward to when you're back, but make sure you get plenty of rest! :)

  9. Nooooo, Brodie! :( I hope you're feeling much, much, MUCH better by now (and it is totally a possibility considering I'm 4978934 years late to the party).

Enjoy your time off! <3 We'll miss youuuuuu!

  10. Hope you feel better soon Brodie. A break is always nice for the brain cells too:)

C you when you get back!

  11. *Hug* I hope you'll feel better soon! This is a great idea, so I hope you get enough responses. I've been thinking to do something, but I'm sooo incredibly busy with school.
