2012 Author Interview & Giveaway: Anne Greenwood Brown!

You still have a little time to enter to win an Forgotten by Cat Patrick + swag! I'll end the giveaway Monday 5th December 11:59pm US EST. Hurry!

Introducing apocalyptic author #4 -  a sexy mermaid sexy author with an upcoming mermaid novel who has found the recipe to life.. creamed corn and Mr. Darcy? Welcome, Anne Greenwood Brown!

Why should Santa fill every stocking next year with a copy of LIES BENEATH?
Because he and I made a deal: If I don't play the Glee Christmas Album incessantly, he'll fill everyone's stocking with LIES BENEATH. I'm making a huge sacrifice on my part so if he doesn't satisfy his end of the bargain... well... let's just say I know where he lives.

What is the best or worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
Best gift? Hmmm. I got a miniature Harry Potter school trunk filled with all the movies (thus far). I was also really jazzed about a Traditional Irish Cooking cookbook, until I spent an evening pounding a piece of cod . . .
Worst gift? I don't know . . . I'm pretty grateful to get anything, actually.

What's been your favourite YA novel of 2011?
If you're talking about the favorite books I've read in 2011, either NIGHTSHADE by Andrea Cremer, or GOING BOVINE by Libba Bray, or THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak. If we're talking favorite book published in 2011, PURPLE DAZE by Sherry Shahan.

And your most desperately needed of 2012?
Oh boy . . . I love all the Apocalypsies so so much! I'd say I desperately want to read them all (and fully intend to). But which ones will I read immediately? I'm probably most intrigued by INNOCENT DARKNESS by Suzanne Lazear because I've never read steam punk before. And I'm also looking forward to GLITCH by Heather Anastasiu, AURACLE by Gina Rosati, and BLIND SPOT by Laura Ellen.

Do you have any plans to survive and/or fight in the 2012 Apocalypse? (this covers any apocalyptic belief-system... zombies, aliens, mother nature seeking revenge, assassin automatons, Klaus and his hybrids from The Vampire Diaries, etc).
Heck yeah, I've got a major survival plan! I've already stored a couple cases of creamed corn and several gallons of water in my basement. I've also got a generator so I can watch Pride & Prejudice over and over as darkness covers the sun and looters start smashing windows. Really, you can overcome a lot of what life throws at you, so long as you have creamed corn, Colin Firth, and a can opener.

Calder White lives in the cold, clear waters of Lake Superior, the only brother in a family of murderous mermaids. To survive, Calder and his sisters prey on humans, killing them to absorb their energy. But this summer the underwater clan targets Jason Hancock out of pure revenge. They blame Hancock for their mother's death and have been waiting a long time for him to return to his family's homestead on the lake. Hancock has a fear of water, so to lure him in, Calder sets out to seduce Hancock's daughter, Lily. Easy enough—especially as Calder has lots of practice using his irresistible good looks and charm on unsuspecting girls. Only this time Calder screws everything up: he falls for Lily—just as Lily starts to suspect that there's more to the monsters-in-the-lake legends than she ever imagined. And just as his sisters are losing patience with him.
